Oh daaarling, I’m sure we can all agree that there’s nothing fun about dry, chapped lips. They’re sore, they’re rough and they are certainly not romance-ready. Since we’re heading into winter, we’re also entering the Dry Lip Danger Zone, and I don’t know about you but I’m definitely not in love with the idea of spending the next six months feeling self conscious and sore!
Thankfully for all of us, Dr.Lipp is in the house and he’s got some simple tips to break the cycle of dryness and keep us feeling fabulous all winter long.
Step 1: Leave them alone!
Picking your lips will make them heal more slowly, so hands off, darling!
Step 2: Gently exfoliate
While we don’t want to pick at our lips, we do want to get rid of the extra dry skin. You deserve nothing but the best in your life, and that means that dead skin has to go. If you haven’t got a lip scrub on hand there is no need to panic – just use a toothbrush!
Step 3: Call the Doctor

Step 4: Hydrate yourself
Dry, chapped lips can be a sign of dehydration, so it’s a good thing to keep an eye on. I’m also pretty sure that hydration is the key to love, life and happiness, so grab yourself a tall glass of water and get to work!
Step 5: Repeat
Even though Dr.Lipp does work its wonders for a while, you will eventually need to reapply, and making these steps a normal part of your routine will help make sure your lips stay kissable all year round!
