3 Incredible Natural DIY Face Masks

I just looove the feeling of popping on a face mask and lying back, knowing that it’s doing the work for me and in a few short minutes my skin will be feeling brand new and better than ever. I’m always on the hunt for the best new natural masks on the high street – adooore the fresh face masks from Lush – but sometimes everything I need is already in my kitchen! Nature really does know what it’s doing, darling, so all you really need is a handful of ingredients for fantastic results! Here are a few of my personal favourites.

Hydrate & Heal

  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • 1/2 a ripe avocado

Every one of these ingredients is incredibly nourishing on its own, so when you combine them it’s a super-boost of hydration and care. All you have to do is add the coconut oil and honey to the mashed avocado, pop it on and wait around 15 minutes. Honey is also fantastic for healing, so this is a great solution for anyone with particularly dry, damaged skin!

De-Puff & Detox

  • 2 tablespoons of fresh coffee grounds
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 3 tablespoons of yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons pure cocoa powder

I personally adore this one. It feels so luxurious, and smells absolutely diviiiine! Mix the ground coffee and cocoa powder together, and then stir them into the yoghurt and honey, making sure everything is evenly blended. Leave it on your face for around ten minutes, and as you rinse it off use the remains of the mask as a gentle exfoliant. Coffee grounds are fantastic for smoothing and polishing the skin, and the caffeine is incredible for circulation, so this mask should leave you positively glowing.

Tighten & Brighten

  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of orange juice

This one certainly has a bit of a kick! The egg whites will tighten your pores, while the orange juice is full of citric acid and vitamin C, and turmeric… well… it’s incredibly brightening but it may be brightening more than just your face if you’re not careful! Before you get to mixing this one together, make sure you’re wearing clothes you don’t mind being stained slightly by any fallout. Keep this one on for 15 minutes, and don’t panic if your face is looking a little yellow – turmeric dye will wash off after a rinse or two. But it is best to save this one for nights in!

There you go – now there’s never an excuse not to treat yourself to a pamper session!
